Charleston SC Hotels - Full Service Hotels

Find the perfect Charleston SC Hotels. Compare the best deals, and get information, photos and trusted reviews.

When looking for a place to stay on the peninsula, the majority of the Charleston Hotels are located in two main areas - Meeting Street and Riverview. The hotels on Meeting Street are within walking distance of museums, shops, and restaurants in the historic downtown area. The Riverview hotels are farther away from the downtown attractions, but they are a little cheaper. If you stay in one of the Riverview hotels, the fastest and cheapest way to get to the nearby attractions is to take the free dash trolley. The trolleys run about every 20-30 minutes and are an excellent way to get around Charleston without the hassle of trying to find parking.

Mount Pleasant and North Charleston Hotels

Depending on the time of the year, it may be hard to find available hotel rooms in the downtown Charleston area. A couple of good alternatives are North Charleston and Mount Pleasant. Both are a 15-20 minute drive from downtown and you can always drive to the downtown area and use on-street metered parking or park in one of the many parking garages. If you are budget conscious, the rooms in North Charleston are normally cheaper than the ones in Mount Pleasant.
