Charleston Carifest is a Caribbean Carnival celebration in honour of Caribbean American Heritage Month. It is four days of food, fun, music, and costumes submerged in education and culture. This is the creative and artistic expression of Caribbean people. Join in and embrace Unity in Diversity. Carifest starts on June 18 with an Opening Reception and an educational Symposium on the 350 year connection of Charleston and the Caribbean. Friday, June 19 starts the fun with a morning Jouvert followed by an All White Fete. The big Carnival Day is Saturday June 20 and will celebrate with a Street Parade followed by an epic celebration in Brittle Bank Park with national and international Soca and Reggae Artists, Cultural Dance, Caribbean food, colourful costumes and various vendors.
